learning & teaching
David and Gillian take time out (when they can) to visit local schools to hold talks on becoming an architect. We do not charge for this, simply asking that you donate to our charities of choice, which are Diabeties UK and Cancer Research UK.
the craft of architecture
David's latest international research will be published in IJ3DIM in Jan2015. 'Sum of the Parts: Leveraging BIM to achieve effective delivery of mass produced housing' .
engaged in education
TCD Architects is currently developing a new timber framing system to be developed for use in 'rapid build' situations.
In 2009 David (TCD Partner) fulfilled his ambition to combine his passion for architecture with teaching the next generation of architects. Having now held a Senior Lecturers post at Northumbria University for 6 years, he teaches on the Masters in Architecture and BSc in Architectural Technology. This is combined with being an active member of the BIM Academy (at Northumbria University), ensuring his practice retains his currency for up to date teaching. Whilst also teaching as visiting Professor, in Paris.more info
